What if some players don’t have a smartphone?
The director can enter or correct scores directly from the director app on their own phone or the dashboard. Players without a phone can hand their card to a playing partner, or the director can score for them.
Does it work with GHIN handicaps?
Not yet. Right now you enter each player’s handicap index manually or via CSV import. Native GHIN integration is on the roadmap for a future release.
What happens if a score needs to be corrected mid-round?
A player can flag any locked hole for review right from their scorecard. The director sees it instantly in the director app, fixes it, and the correction syncs back to the player, the leaderboard, and the TV view automatically.
What formats does Fairway support, and can I mix them week to week?
Stroke play, skins, match play, scramble, best ball, four-ball, alternate shot, and Chapman — plus League Match, a round-robin team format built for league play. For a season, assign any format to any week right from the Schedule page.
Do players need to create an account, or a new link each week?
No. Each player gets a personal scorecard link by email or text — no account, no app download, no password. For a league, it’s the same link every week, carrying their team and flight through the whole season automatically.
How long does setup take, and can I reuse it next time?
Once your course is configured (a one-time setup), a new tournament takes about 10 minutes and a new season about 15 — name it, set the format, import your roster, publish. Save either as a template to prefill the next one in seconds.
